Over the course of just 2 years, LJ MTX has quickly become one of the most respected and recognized names to hail from the Washington, DC area. With over a dozen releases since January 2008, his solo tracks and those in collaboration with Ciconte have been featured as high as the Top 50 on Beatport, Top 10 on Dance Records and are consistently in the Top 100 on Trackitdown.net, Jamvana, Beats Digital and more.

Typically known for driving Electro House, he most recently produced a Techno remix for “DJ Leko – Drip,” which was just featured on Matt Darey’s legendary Nocturnal Radio (Episode 190) and has been a staple in Dave Dresden’s sets since January ‘09. His latest single “Up Fuck the Shut (Original SBS Mix)” is an absolute must-have regardless of what style of music you are into. The XXX-rated vocals (performed by LJ) are ridiculously hilarious, the bass line is funky-nasty, and the track is an absolute win in the clubs! UFTS is also remixed by Mark Trophy (Trophy Twins) adding a Tech-House Dub flavor, and DJ Denise (Mizumo Music) throwing in some Deep Electro goodness! All three mixes have really torn up the charts reaching as high as #7 on multiple digital retailers.

He has worked with top artists including Mark Trophy, Mike Balance (InStereo), skylab2000 (legendary EDM producer) and Breakfast (Ferry Corsten’s protégé). He also have received props and DJ support from Carl Cox, Uberzone, Dave Dresden (Gabriel and Dresden), Jes, Miles Dyson, Antoine Clamaran, Noel Sanger, Donald Glaude, Hatiras, The Verdugo Brothers, DJ Dan, Lazy Rich, and the list keeps growing at an exponential rate. Most of the tracks that LJ’s name is on have been top sellers on each corresponding record label at one point in time including: InStereo Recordings, Metronix Recordings, Jetset Music, Exotic Refreshment and Work Machine.

As a DJ, he is known for his energetic sets and for his stage presence. His track selections include various styles including House, Funky House, Electro, Jacking, and Progressive Tech House. He is currently a resident and managing partner for District Ignition who, in collaboration with Panorama Productions, runs the three most successful weekly events in the DC area including the world renowned GLOW. His residency has granted him opportunities to spin on the same stages as some of the biggest names in the industry.
