Artist from many different media will be on exhibition at the Venus art market. Artists fro as far as California will exhibit paintings, sketches, glass, and metal that will represent the cutting edge of the national art scene! Along with all of the talented musical artists and artists on exhibition at the Venus art market, Peter Parker, one of the nations leading visual artists, will produce a world class visual display that will be unique to Venus! Along with Peter”s world class visuals, Archedream will perform live on stage as they amuze festival goers with their costume and dance!

Huge Visuals by Parker!
Peter Parker with Gaian Mind is the visual coordinator for Venus Music and Arts Festival. Peter has worked with artists in the Psytrance community on events such as the Gaian Mind Summer Festival which is the longest running festival of its kind on the east coast. Artists like Paul Oakenfold and the Disco Biscuits have looked to Peter for world class visuals that are a cut above average visuals. Along with Peter Parker’s visuals, we have the honor of presenting Archedream at this year’s Venus. The Archedream uv dancers are a troop that will delight festival goers with uv sensitive costumes and impressive dance routines. Don’t miss these world class artists as they bring their talents for us all to enjoy!
Graffitti Exhibition!
The Graffitti paint exhibition at the PressureBox Productions Stage will be a unique look at an artform that began on the urban streets. One of the regions top graffitti teams will work on a large wall mural that will take up most of the day on Saturday. This mural will be available for purchase and possession will go to the highest bidder.
Fire Poi!
Fire artists are always the hit of the festival and the fire artist competition at Venus is sure to be a crowd pleaser. Troops from around the region will dance during selected DJ sets throughout the festival. This will make for an interesting fire display at all stages! On Saturday night, the top two finalists will duel for the top title at the PLUR Productions Stage!
Huge Art Market!
The art market at Venus Music and Arts Festival will feature artists from a wide range of media including paint, charcoal, glass, and wood to name but a few. Artists from all over the region have been invited to share the wonderful art that they use to express their ideas and emotions. The Art Institute of Charlotte along with many art galleries and art collectives are supporting the art market with the presence of the fine artists that they represent. Art will be available for purchase directly from the artists themselves and the artists will be present for conversation about their work

DJ Workshop
With These Hands Mix Academy is the first of its kind in the Charlotte region. We are the first step for students in learning about and gaining experience in the music industry by way of disc jockeying and digital music production. Our program offers a fresh approach to learning by giving young adults the opportunity to overcome limitations and expand their horizons within the entertainment industry. With These Hands not only focuses on disc jockeying and digital music creation, it also teaches practical life skills and professional etiquette. The award winning mix academy will be at the Venus Music & Arts Festival and will host mini mix sessions for all 3 days on Oct 9th, 10th, and 11th.
History Of EDM
Hosted by Linn Binfield, The History Of Electronic Dance Music (EDM) is a workshop/lecture about the beginnings of Disco and the many genres of dance music that came from Disco. The discusion will include important figures that played key roles in the developement of Trance, House, Drum and Bass, along with other genres of dance music.
PLUR: A Way of Life!
Explains the fundamental virtues Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect and how to incorporate these virtues into everyday life!
